Jason is a skilled legal writer and analyst with over 20 years of experience as both an advocate in, and legal advisor to, Indiana appellate courts. He also brings deep community ties as a nearly lifelong Hoosier who proudly claims Lafayette as his hometown.
Before joining Stuart & Branigin, Jason served the Indiana Supreme Court for over a decade in legal advisory roles, including as a chambers law clerk and as a staff attorney advising both the full Court and Indiana trial judges on pending cases. Prior to that, Jason practiced as an active litigator in both civil and criminal appeals, as well as litigating and serving as judge pro tempore in Indiana trial courts.
Jason has been a presenter for continuing legal education seminars, including in appellate procedure and attorney ethics. He also encourages the development of the next generation of attorneys by volunteering as a judge for moot-court competitions at both of his alma maters.
An avid musician, Jason is also passionate about the performing arts and has both performed with, and served on the board of directors of, local arts organizations. In his free time, he enjoys cars and motorcycles, and traveling with his wife and children.
