Client Alert from Business Services Group

Recently a business named “C.P.S.” sent some of our business entity clients an official-looking mailing, soliciting personal information about business entity registered agents and directors. The mailing included a form entitled “2020 – Business Entity Report Instruction Form” and requested a response with a $125 fee. This mailing did not come from our firm or the Indiana Secretary of State. If you receive this mailing we recommend that you not reply to it.

It is important that each business entity prepare and maintain annual minutes and make periodic filings with the Indiana Secretary of State. If our firm provides annual services to your business entity (preparation and maintenance of annual minutes and submission of business entity reports to the Indiana Secretary of State), no other action is needed by you.

If you have any questions concerning the authenticity of any mailing asking you to submit information about your business entity or pay a fee to an unknown organization, or if we can assist in other legal matters, please feel free to contact your Stuart & Branigin lawyer.
