Mark R. Molter

Mark’s broad capabilities in litigation and advisory work enable him to contribute to matters for a wide range of firm clients.  From large corporations to privately held businesses to individuals, Mark is relied on for his sound counsel and ability to work efficiently to resolve disputes.

His experience includes railroad litigation, employment disputes, class action representation, personal injury matters, contract disputes, agribusiness matters, and medical malpractice claims.  In connection with this work, Mark handles pleadings, motion practice, oral arguments, and subsequent steps toward dispute resolution.  He also provides counsel to privately held businesses on select corporate, employment, and agribusiness matters.

“Part of what drew me to a career in law is the simultaneously challenging, undefined and yet, exciting nature of the work. As the English philosopher Jeremy Bentham observed, ‘The power of the lawyer is in the uncertainty of the law.’”

Born in Lafayette and raised in Newton County, Mark practiced law in Boston before returning to his home state.  An avid supporter of his alma maters, he is a dedicated Hoosiers and Fighting Irish fan, and is a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette program.

While a full-time undergraduate student, Mark gained Indiana accreditation in law enforcement and worked as a part-time police officer.  During law school, he interned in the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
